I have an outside (front) door with windows / window in it, about 24 “x 36″ size. For reasons of safety, privacy / I need to cover in this window at night. I have not yet found anything suitable – fairly light, fairly easy to open, easy to install on the door. Nobody covers or blinds are specifically for this purpose? Or has anyone come to a DIY solution?

I have seen advertised blinds for doors that are locked in two sheets of glass. They do not need to dust. They can be pulled up to enjoy the view or lowered to provide privacy. I’m not sure what the company makes them, but I think I saw it on HGTV.Une DIY solution: you can block the curtains at the top of the door curtain that could be drawn in the night. Sorta like a treatment that helps company victorienne.Hope.

Just about any store, you can find thin metal curtain rods that you can attach to the top and bottom of the window. I hung mine just to cover the window (top and bottom), and made a few panels of cotton that could be opened or closed by sliding each side. If you can not sew, you can buy a pair of curtains and just adjust the stems to adapt. Hope this helps

I agree with Elspeth. I also saw these doors. It was Lowe’s or Home Depot.
